Dieser Post soll Dir bei der ersten Orientierung helfen – daher folgende Übersicht:
“Vampire: The Eternal Struggle“ (kurz: „VTES“) ist ein Kartenspiel, in dem die Spieler die Rollen von uralten Vampiren annehmen, die versuchen, durch verborgenen Einfluss auf jüngere Vampire (und andere übernatürliche Wesen) ihre Gegenspieler auszustechen.
Das Setting ist das der „World of Darkness“, zuerst bekannt geworden durch das Rollenspiel „Vampire: The Masquerade“.
VTES wurde 1994 von Richard Garfield entworfen, von dem u.a. „Magic: The Gathering“ stammt; es ist ausdrücklich als Mehrspieler-Spiel designt: Am besten spielt es sich mit 4 oder 5 Spieler:innen; jede:r versucht, die Spielerin oder den Spieler links von sich aus dem Spiel zu nehmen, und sich gegen die Spielerin oder den Spieler rechts von sich zu verteidigen - was eine interessante Dynamik am Spieltisch erzeugt.
Es gibt eine Spieler-Organisation zu VTES, das „Vampire Elder Kindred Network“ („VEKN“). Diese organisiert lokale Kontakte, Spielegruppen und Turniere (bis hin zu Meisterschaften auf Landes- oder Kontinent-Ebene). Die lokalen Ansprechpartner werden „Prinzen“ genannt – in Anlehnung an die Organisation der Camarilla-Vampire in der World of Darkness.
Wenn Du Kontakt suchst, um Mit-Spieler:innen zu finden, wende Dich also gern an einen „Prinzen“ in Deiner Nähe – Du findest Informationen zu Kontakten hier im Forum unter „Suche Spieler oder offiziellen Ansprechpartner“, oder in den Unterforen unter „SPIELEGRUPPEN“.
Du kannst Dich auch gern unter „Neue Forenmitglieder“ vorstellen – insbesondere natürlich, wenn es derzeit in Deiner Nähe noch keine aktive Spielerunde gibt.

This post is intended to provide you with a first orientation - hence the following overview:
"Vampire: The Eternal Struggle" (short: "VTES") is a card game in which the players take on the roles of ancient vampires who try to outdo their opponents through hidden influence on younger vampires (and other supernatural beings).
The setting is that of the "World of Darkness", first made famous by the role-playing game "Vampire: The Masquerade".
VTES was designed in 1994 by Richard Garfield, who also designed "Magic: The Gathering"; it is expressly designed as a multiplayer game: it is best played with 4 or 5 players; each player tries to remove the player to his or her left from the game, while also defending against the player to his right - which creates an interesting dynamic at the game table.
There is a player organisation for VTES, the "Vampire Elder Kindred Network" ("VEKN"). This organises local contacts, game groups and tournaments (up to championships at national or continental level). The local contacts are called "Princes" - in reference to the organisation of the Camarilla vampires in the World of Darkness.
If you are looking for contacts to find fellow players, feel free to contact a "Prince" in your area - you will find information on contacts here in the forum under „Suche Spieler oder offiziellen Ansprechpartner“ (i.e., "Search for players or official contact persons"), or in the sub-forums under „SPIELEGRUPPEN“ (i.e., "PLAYGROUPS").
Do not worry - although the language usually used in this forum is German, most of the members are able to communicate in English and will be happy to support you in that language!
