EVENT FORMAT:

The Spanish Championship will be a two day event.

DAY 1 (29th of November):
• Last Chance Qualifier (the finalists qualify for Day 2)
• First Day of the Spanish Championship (the top 30 players qualify
for Day 2)

DAY 2 (30th of November):
• Second Day of the Spanish Championship: 40 players (the top 5 ranked players in the Spanish Ranking; the 5 finalist of the LCQ, and the top 30 players of Day 1).
• Side event.

HOW TO QUALIFY FOR DAY 1:

• The top 25% players of any qualifier tournament for the Spanish Championship held in 2008.
• The finalists of any Continental Qualifier, Continental Championship, or National Championship held during the previous 365 days are automatically qualified for the 1st day of the Spanish Championship.

HOW TO QUALIFY FOR DAY 2:

• Being among the top 5 players in the Spanish Ranking on the 29th of November.
• Being among the top 30 players on the 1st day of the Spanish Championship.
• Being among the finalists in the Last Chance Qualifier.

NUMBER OF ROUNDS: Each tournament will consist of 3+F 2-hour rounds.

REGISTRATION FEE:
=================

• 2 day registration fee: 16 EUR
• 1 day registration: 10 EUR (if anyone registers only for day 1 and, after he or she gets to qualify for day 2, he or she decides to register for day 2, he or she will have to pay 8 EUR extra)
• Registration including accomodation: 46 EUR (this includes the 2 day registration fee and accomodation in a double room for 1 person on the 29th of November).
• Registration including accomodation for a single person in a double room: 80 EUR (this includes the 2 day registration fee and accomodation in a double room to be used as a single room on the 29th of November).
