New Blood tournament legality date set!

Hi all! The four latest New Blood packs (Banu Haqim, Brujah, Gangrel and The Ministry) for Vampire: The Eternal Struggle will appear on the shelves of your favorite store very soon. That means a tournament legality date of the new cards is needed, and that will be August 31, 2023.

The artwork above is for the reprint of Diversion, featured in the New Blood: Brujah deck that was published this month.

• The four New Blood decks (Banu Haqim, Brujah, Gangrel and The Ministry) turn up in stores in the beginning of August, so the tournament legality date has been set to August 31, 2023.

• One of the new cards in the New Blood: Brujah deck is Saku Pihlajamäki, Baron of Helsinki. The artwork of this card is (as some that follow these newsletters might remember) depicting the former, long time Finland National Coordinator Janne Lönnqvist, painted in oil by Finnish artist and VTES player Noora Hirvonen. A special full art promo version of Saku was created for this year's Ropecon tournament, and it was kept secret from Janne until the day of the event. A nice way to show appreciation for many years in the VEKN!

• At the same time, the first draft of five new New Blood packs were sent to playtest - clans Ravnos, Salubri, Tzimisce, Hecata and Lasombra. Yes, there will be lots of work for the testers now, but it´s good to start early with testing to be able to do as many testrounds as possible.

• The second rounds of playtest of both the Hecata/Lasombra, the Ravnos/Salubri/Tzimisce New Blood and the 30th Anniversary preconstructed decks ended on January 31, and playtest coordinator Norman Brown compiled a 131 pages long report of the results that are now being digested by the design team. Big thanks to him and all the playtesters!
