Hi! I hope it's OK if I write in English rather than using my "3 year old baby"-level German.

I'm a brand new VTES player living in Leipzig that is now trying to put together a group of people interested in playing the game. I managed to organize one small demo event with a few of my friends recently, using decks from a Black Hand display that I acquired. The good news is, they don't seem to be completely opposed to giving the game another try (which was a bit of a surprise for me, because it was my first time playing too and I probably butchered the rules quite a bit!).

I'm not sure if my plan succeeds though, so I've been wondering if there are any former players in or around Leipzig who would like to start playing again, or if there are any currently active groups that wouldn't mind if a complete newb pops in from time to time?

that are really good news. A playgroup in Leipzig, great.

As far as I know there never have been a playgroup in Leipzig before, at least none VEKN.de have noticed. None from Leipzig showed up in the forums or organzized any events.
Anyway you and your friends are there and I bet if you go on with demoing you will suceed in establishing a solid group.

After asking around a lot and contacting local game stores, there really doesn't seem to be an active Leipzig VTES scene. But I'm not giving up just yet. I think/hope that things will improve once the new Black Chantry products become available.

Rudolf: Yes, I read the announcement and was super excited about it... But when I started making concrete plans, I realized that I have other obligations in Goettingen on the same weekend. Thanks for the invite though! I hope there will be more events like that in the near future.

I'm late to the party, but I want to get this topic out of torpor now!
I'll write in English first. Maybe you are still here!

We are a group of 5 people right now playing in Leipzig. We've started V:TES some months ago. Some of us have quite some old cards and are veterans who haven't played a while and some like me are completely new to the game. We try to play a lot of games, mainly focused on V5 constructed decks. But the older cards want to be used too, so they find their place too. We are learning the ropes, but getting used to it already

We are looking for more friendly players to share thoughts and play games together! So if there are some players around, we would be happy to hear about you here! If you are a new blood or an old cainite you will be welcome!

If you want to learn the game, we can provide some starter decks to play with for different playstyles.
We have English Cards (are there even German cards?) and we are able to speak in English though it is not our native language.

Wir sind eine kleine Gruppe von 5 Personen, die entweder ihre alten Karten seit langem wieder ausgegraben haben oder wie ich komplett neu angefangen haben.

Wir haben uns einige Starterdecks + New Blood Decks geholt um in V5 hauptsächlich einzusteigen (und einen Kartenpool aufzubauen und sind dabei Decks auszuprobieren. Wir suchen noch weitere nette Mitspieler:innen, die unsere Gruppe erweitern und Spaß am Spiel haben. Ob neu initiiert oder von der alten Generation, alle sind willkommen.

Für neu Spielende haben wir auch genug Starterdecks zum Leihen um das Spiel mal auszuprobieren und kennenzulernen.

Meldet euch gerne, wenn ihr Lust habt mitzumachen!
Turniere können wir hier in Leipzig nicht bieten. Aber vielleicht wird es ja mal irgendwann, wenn genug Leute zusammen finden.

cool, danke für deinen Einsatz. Ich wünsche dir ganz viele neue Mitspieler:innen. Aus Lepzig haben wir bisher noch niemanden gehabt außer dem OP. Du könntest es auch noch im Forum auf vekn.net und im discordchannel versuchen.

Leipzig ist ja eine Stadt in der viele TCGs gespielt werden. Aber VTES kennt hier niemand. Vielleicht lassen sich ja noch mehr überzeugen.
