Ein Baali hat sich Talbot's Chainsaw genommen. Derselbe Spieler kontrolliert Saulot.

Die 3 Punkte Schaden von Talbot's Chainsaw in der Unlock Phase zielt auf Saulot. Nimmt Saulot Schaden oder nicht?

Talbot's Chainsaw
Unique weapon.
Strike: 3 damage. If the bearer is ready during your unlock phase, this weapon inflicts 3 unpreventable damage on a ready minion you control. The bearer cannot hunt. The bearer can enter combat with a minion as a +1 stealth Ⓓ action. The bearer gets 1 press (mandatory), only usable to continue combat during the first round, and can prevent 1 damage each combat.

Saulot, The Wanderer
Independent: Damage Baali inflict on Saulot is reduced to 0. During your unlock phase, you can move 2 blood from him to a vampire in play or in your uncontrolled region. Scarce. +1 bleed. +1 strength.

Ich glaube, ich habe schon die Antwort auf meine eigene Frage gefunden. Zumindest indirekt.

Folgendes Ruling existiert mit Bezug auf Mictlantecuhtli & Talbot's Chainsaw

The damage inflicted during the unlock phase is weapon damage, it is neither inflicted by the wearer nor environmental. Mictlantecuhtli can be chosen and would take no damage. LSJ 20090304-1 LSJ 20100514

Dort steht ja letztlich, dass der Schaden von der Chainsaw selbst, nicht vom Träger der Waffe hervorgerufen wird. Und damit nimmt Saulot den Schaden von Talbot's Chainsaw, da er zwar "immun" gg. Schaden von Baali ist, aber nicht gg. Schaden von Waffen generell.

Eine Deck-Idee weniger

Deswegen ja fast immer mit Ambrosius oder Tye Cooper …
